Question Which one???

Depends on size. I would go with the 9880 and get the basic edition. They have a printer which holds both Photo Black and Matte Black but the switch over wastes $20 plus worth of ink every time you go from one to another. 9800 series can print as wide as 44" and from converstaions I have had with vendors and others the 9900 series seems to consume more ink.

You can print from PhotoShop if you already have it or buy Q-Image for $89 so no reason to pay for the Color Burst Software. I print with the 9800 and use Matte Black ink. You can't print on glossy photo paper but the glass determines the the finish anyway. Printing on photo paper also uses more ink because the ink stacks on top of itself. On photo paper you can see the layers of ink.

Canvas needs to be coated anyway so the coating can be glossy if that is the desired effect. I used the Photo Black in the printer untill the cartridge went dry and switched over and would never turn back from the Matte Black.
