Hi all,
My c+h mat cutter takes the old Stanley 11-911 blades. Unfortunately I can't find them in the 100 pack. They've been backordered at United since Nov and they don't know when they'll get them in. 11-921 blades ares too big. I can fine 11-911A blades at amazon. Does anyone know if the 911A blades will fit the c+h or another source for blades?
Thanks,
Ted

I'm in the same boat as Ted. I only have about 6 left.

Wonder if you could snip off one end and make it shorter to fit :help:

You don't need to use the Stanley brand. I use United's 2092-B "light duty" for the straight-cut side of the C+H matcutter, and 2694-B "heavy duty" for the wall cutter (these are similar to the Stanley 11-921).

Unless I'm mistaken, I think you can buy 5 or 10 packs of those Stanley blades at the hardware store. At least they will hold you over until United restocks its shelves.

I buy mine at Ace Hardware. They come in a 5 pack but when I buy a whole box of 5 packs they give me a decent discount. I don't know if you have a Ace there but Sears also sells the Stanley blades, well at least they do here.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately the 921s are a different size and don't fit my C+H. I have seen the 5 pack for the 911 but was just too cheap to pay $1.25 a blade when in a hundred pack it's about $.15.

After looking more closely at the Stanley site it looks like the 'A' designation is not a blade change but rather a designator to show that it comes with a dispenser. There are a couple of places online with the 11-911A packs like MSC, ReStockIt and ToolFetch so I'll order from one of them. I just hope that the 911 isn't getting in short supply due to the more common 921.

Thanks again, and have a great New Year.

Ted
