After reading the post by Unframed_Mystery on framing car parts I figured I'd better get some similar advise for a "challenge" that came to me.
The objects are two military dress uniforms: WWII & Viet Nam era. Shirt, tie and jackets (no pants)with pictures and medals. Estimated case size 6ft wide, 5ft high, approx. 6in deep. Interior light. Case to be hung on the wall.
Ideas so far:
Use 1/2 manican(sp?) torso ($13)to fill out uniforms to best display patches and ribbons on jackets.
Front made of acryic and hinged at top.
Fasten gold chain to manican at neck and hang from decorative hook at top of frame. (Somebody is going to have fun with that description)
Entire case lined with red velvet. (Open to suggestion for better fabric)
Frame small photos individually and hang inside cabinet.
Misc. medals, hats memorabelia mounted to red velvet.
Any and all advice or ideas welcome.
Thanks,
Denny
