Wheat Starch vs. Wheat Paste

I wandered over to the Talas website and came across two products: Wheat Paste No. 301 and Wheat Starch Aytex-P. I normally use the Lineco wheat starch, which requires cooking, but from what I am reading, the Wheat Paste can be dissolved in cold water.

Can this stuff be used for hinges, just as regular wheat starch would be? Pros/Cons?
