Question What size ROTATRIM should I get?

Some one else may know for sure but I thought it came with a built in cutter.

Gumby, it has a cutter for cutting the 44" roll, but not individual prints from that strip.

I have a 26" which has been significant for 90% of my use.

I would say you need one that is atleast 44".

I would rather have too much then not enough.

We love ours and makes life so much easier! We have a 54" printer and a 60" trimmer.

Yes they come with a built in cutter but after the paper is out of the printer, many times you need to trim excess off. It only cuts it off the roll in the printer.

I have the Epson 9900 and i bought the 36" Rotatrimmer. For 95% of the things I do, it is fine. Anything bigger and I use a straight edge and an exacto knife.

Just like framah, a straight edge and a utility knife with a sharp blade.

Do you have it on a stand or on a table?

It actually came build with a stand and a basket to hold the drop. It's a GBC Pro Trim 60 and you don't even want to know what I paid for it! Okay, I'll tell you, about $1,500 in 2001 and it's still perfect!

because my Wizard doesn't have one. LOL

LOL, Ok that's a good reason!

I was wondering after I posted if it was because the rotary cutter gives a better cut. We change the mat blades al the time so I think a mat blade would give a clean enough cut.

Another plus for a rototrimmer is that you can see exactly where you are going to cut and you don't have to set any fence or stop before you make the cut.

The Rotatrimmer will cut 1/32nd inch off a piece of photo paper - mat cutter won't.
Once you have one you'll wonder why you waited so long - a real double bar Rotatrimmer - not the cheaper model or some copy. I give the 15" version as gifts to special friends that do photos or scrapbooks.
