Left FL for IL...
I have the usual frame trade magazines but would like to find new related publications that may be pertinent to the framing, gift shop, accessories, digital photo, and such business.

I have Art Business News and its companion Frame Business News, Picture Framing and Decor and CNA (craft business) and probably another that dosen't come to mind. I would like a lead on digital art, photo marketing, accessories and gifts.

Besides CNA (Craft and Needlework Age) I also get Craftrends. Country Business is good, too, even though it is strictly not my style, it is the style of some of my customers and I like to see what they are going to be liking in the near future.

Besides Decor, Picture Framing Magazine, and Art Business News, we get the Photo Marketing/PPFA Mag, plus House & Garden, House Beautiful, and Metropolitan Home.

Between those, the Cincinnati Enquirer, The NY Times, and the Wall Street Journal, it's hard to keep up. Guess I'd better start eating more carrots. (You never see rabbits wearing glasses.)

Oh, yeah... I guess because of some tool catalog I ordered, we somehow got on a mailing list that assumes we are a metalworking fabrication business. So now I get a Manufacturing Engineering magazine that has lots of articles I don't understand and lots of ads for $180K 5-axis milling machines.

Besides Decor and PFM, I get House & Garden, Niche, Crafts Report, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, Somerset Studios (for my rubber stamping/paper collage/creative needs!), Greetings, and often will pick up a magazine at the store if it appears to have any good frame articles or examples!

For a look at current design trends, I once heard Greg perkins recommend Veranda, Architectural Digest and Midwest Living or your regional equivalent. I have found these publications to be an inspiration to me and to my customers. I leave them out on a table for people to peruse while waiting for their turn. ;)

I was buying Midwest Living at the newstand for several months before I discovered my wife has a subscription.

Thanks everyone, I just don't want to get tunnel vision by not trying to see the 'bigger picture'.
I've been trying my hand at new (to me) advertising and revamping the look of the shop and reworking my brochure, etc.
Just want to get some new ideas, at least while I have slow season to think about this sort of thing.
