What is better quality?

Hi all,

Which is better quality to burn to dvd? WMV (smaller size file)or Mpeg.

Working on a family project and have the option to save as either but would like the better quality to burn to dvd for a larger screen.

It really depends what you mean by dvd. DVD as in you want it to play on a consumer dvd player (mpeg2 format), or to just store it as a DVD for the PC? (mpeg4 format, AVI, WMV, etc).

To play on a tv via dvd.

I am leaning towards wmv because mpeg2 is not a save option.

I went to the Mike sites and they were loaded with info. A bit to much info because after the first site I thought I knew what to do, then I read the second and got confused all over again.

Really interesting stuff, I think it is leading me to wmv.
