Question What happened to the Grumble icon on my phone?

The Grumble icon on my smartphone used to have a large "G" in the middle of this shape, but it has shrunk progressively to the point that it is now just a dot in the white space.

I hope it's a picture of thrice-rinsed muslin.
 
Mike is likely playing games with the all new software (same brand, new version) and all the additional options it has.
He has all the nuts and bolts figured out, so it's running smoother and faster than before.
The new icons are a bit of a challenge. I had a heck of a time finding the one for the G when it first changed, and he's introduced a few new icons since, each specific to whichever thematic skin he's using at the time.
He's having a lot of fun.
 
I have been trying to figure that out, too! It does the same with Android phones.

I think maybe a bug in the new version of the software.

It's odd that is showing you the VALENTINES DAY image.
 
That was me. I've been editing the various themes to have customized icons and push notification badges. Next month will be a spider :)
 
Now that the icon is down to a tiny dot, it's difficult to get the app to open. If I try to download the app again from Google Play, might that restore an icon that works better?
 
Clicking anywhere on it should work, even the white space. I think it may be happening on some devices because the software switched from using *.png files to the newer *.webp images. I'll put a ticket in with the vendor to see what is going on.
 
If using the app, maybe try deleting it and reinstalling, it. In reality, the app is just using the web browser to simulate an app.

It will save whatever the current icon is forever, though. Currently, a maple leaf, and sunday or monday It will become a spider

That looks like the February icon. I wonder if maybe the folks seeing this added the app in Feb, while that former theme was active? We erased all themes and started over with this new version, so things are in a different place. Zapping and re adding the app will probably fix the icon.

ok. If you want something other than maple leaf, let me know and I can temporarily turn off the fall theme :) You can pick a green, orange, purple, red, or blue G :)

I suspect whatever is there will be there until you delete it again.

If you get sick of it, let me know and I'll switch the theme long enough for you to change it
 
It is! Possibly because we are in a different theme now (halloween)

We used to have most themes share the same common set of icons, now they have unique settings for everything; as they are further developed.

If you use the web browser to access the G, you don't need to have the "app" installed. The advantage to NOT using the app is that you can have multiple windows open at the same time. (for example, going down a list of new topics you could right click each one to open it up in a new window of its own, instead of losing your place on the list)
