I have a couple of photo collages that the customer has pasted together on a piece of poster board. I have no idea how it was put together, so I dare not drymount it. I would normally use something like Crescent Perfect Mount, but I am out of that at the moment and would rather not wait to get it in. Don't really do much wet mounting, but was wondering is there anything I can get locally in a relatively small quantity that would suffice? Otherwise, I guess I'll just put the project off until next week. I have 2 that are 31 x 26.

Wet mounting

Mounting with a wet adhesive is very tricky and should be practiced extensively before being carried out. Diferent papers respond to the moisture in the paste differently and thin papers can cockle while thick papers and boards may not stay flat. The dextrin glues that used to be available seem to have disappeared and few current adhesives seem to have their working properties (high solubility, high tack, reasonable working time), which makes wet mounting, even for non-preservation cases, a difficult option to turn to.
