I am making tentative plans to attend the show. Years ago we stayed at the Hilton.

Does anyone know of a good Hotel near the Hilton with good rates - doesn't have to be fancy - don't want to spend too much on the taxiis tho.

HB,
You don't need to spend too much on transportation. The trolley and bus service is great. The new monorail is up and running but doesn't take you to the front door of any hotel on the strip (as far as I know).
I like the Stardust because they don't close the hot tub in the winter months. I guess they don't realize that we Canadians will dip into a hot tub regardless of the outdoor temperature. Last time I stayed at the Hilton, the hot tub was closed. :(

Thanks Carol - btw does the tram stop at the convention centre & is it free?

Who - now I'm sounding real cheap!

Monorail is not free but we shared a pass last year and it worked out fine. I think it was $10 and it got the two of us back and forth several times. It stops at Bally's on the strip -- but don't know how Bally's prices out. And, yes, it does stop at the convention center.
Have fun! Hoping to be there too!

HB, you do know that there is "convention" rates on the Hilton.....

As for taxi or shuttle.... everything seemed to be $9 away..

As for the largest Limo in town for a certain Chinese dinner....Rob Markoff aught to be along here shortly with this years skinny.

My EverBeItSoHumble Opinion: Stay at the Hilton.

Just allow a full hour for breakfast....

Last year we stayed at the Westward Ho, across from the Riveria.Paid $30.00 per night. It's an older motel but very clean. Caught the trolley across the street at the Riveria paid $1.75 each
trip. Must have exact fare they don't make change.
