A website is being developed for me and i should have it running by the end of the month. I want to display photos, like family photos, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, etc. photos. I know, i know, i know, if i do that, customers might not want me to, and if it is okay with them, the photographer might not allow it. Question:  What software can be use to "slightly" distort the faces in a photo? I want it to still look like a person, but a face no one recognizes. Or, any suggestion? Thanks.

Better to just get permission. If you distort the face, your customers looking at the site, most likely won't understand and will just think it looks weird.

You can find sources for Free photos to use and then substitute them in for the real thing in a photo shop type program. There have been a # of such free sites mentioned here on the G, I don't know them offhand but a search will turn them up.

I agree with J Paul. Just ask for permission to use it.
I have a customer "release" form that I ask the customer to sign.
It basically give me permission to use their framed photo/art/etc. in my web page or advertising.

You could always use Photoshop’s Gaussian Blur filter, but generally it will look terrible and be distracting.

Why not Photoshop pictures of you and your family or landscapes into the photo frames? No copyright problems there.
