Way too good to be true?!

I've received several emails from this company over the last week with ridiculously low prices on software.

It is for download only and you cannot register the product or get tech support (of course).

There are no references to Nigeria or our old friend John Kennedy and all of the spelling seems to be ok!

I suspect something fishy here...anyone else heard from them?

That is a site in Russia and they're selling illegal copies of real products, with fake serial numbers. Most likely, the vendors will identify and block the stolen serial numbers when an attempt is made to communicate with their registration server - or their future update/patch server. Then they're likely to go after the person who bought/uses it, not the people in Russia.

I hope you don't mind, but I edited your message to remove that web link, as a legal precaution/protection for the grumble. I also don't trust a site like that, because it could have infections or be a sting operation.

If it sounds too good to be true.... it probably is
