Wall Buddies Question

Does it matter where I place the wall buddies on the back of a frame? I'm dealing with a 2 1/2 inch wide moulding but the profile does not allow me to place the wall buddies on the corner. I can't get a screw in because of the shallow profile unlessI move the hardware 1 3/4 inches in from the corner.

Will this work or am I jeopardizing the stability of the frame and will it still hang level and tight?

Maybe a dumb question but inquiring minds want to know. Thanks

Mike,

You can place the WallBuddies inward as far as you need to to get a good bite in the wood. With a 2 point hanging system it won't affect the stability if the hangers aren't at the very edge of the frame.

(Unless you put them both on the same corner!) :D

But a dyed in the wool Blues fan wouldn't do such a thing, eh??

P.S. Just got back from my Sunday morning beach run with the dog (he ran, I walked). I hope you have half as good weather in St. Louis as we have down here today!!

Thanks Framerguy, I thought that would be the response but it never hurts to check.

Us Blues fans are having a hard time staying behind this team but we'll see where it goes. Weather here is about 40 and sunny but nothing that could compare with what you're having. Next time I'm in Destin, I hope I can count on a visit.

As always, thanks for your help.

Well, Mike, that's a little over half as good, we have 65 and clear as a bell. Shorts and sleevless T-shirt weather for me and lots of surfin' for the vicious guard dog, Robbie. He met a new buddy today, a mixed lab/chow, coal black and ready to play for hours in the surf!

(Now he is crashed on the floor for the remainder of the day!)

Hey, if you haven't tried the WallBuddies for metal mouldings or the security WallBuddies yet, give them a trial run. They are as good as the WB's for wood mouldings!

You and any other framer coming down to this area are always welcome! Just give me a heads up when you are coming down and I will be glad to see you.

(Maybe even show you some of my "secret" eating places down here. ;) )
