I am not an engineer so I often "don't get" certain principles - please help me understand.

I have a mirror in the store - approximate weight 25 lbs. or less - I can pick it up fairly easily and I am not strong.

I was showing a customer how great wall buddies are today and noticed that the metal piece hanger is no longer flush to the wall.

I did install it according to instructions. the long flat side was flat to the wall. the nail was in at an angle. i do not remove the piece from the wall - just touch the side to show that it does not swing from side to side and is stable.

So what did I do wrong - I am concerned that it is going to go drop on my counter / monitor / TV display and break everything not to mention the 7 years for bad luck.

so I took it down...

the one hook that is coming out is no longer straight up and down the other hook is straight up and down ... why?

Is there a caution we should give customers?

How should I rehang it?

Help please

Jeanne ...if you lift or nudge the mirror often to show how WallBuddies work then maybe the hooks have loosened.

Those hangers are crap. You didn't do anything wrong.

I have had exactly one piece (that i know of) fall and it was that stupid hanger. WHen you drive one in juuuuuust right and set the frame on it the hanger bends forward brining the nail out of the wall by about 1/6 the lenth of the nail. I think thats why the hanger has that huge lip on the top so that when it bends forward, the hanger hits the back of the frame.

I use wallbuddies on a few things but I never give out those stupid hangers. An anchor is better. I have a hundered or so pieces out there hanging with that crap they give us to use. It worries me to death to think how many are just about to come out of the wall.

Carry on.
