I am looking at alternatives to slatwalls and am interested in the Walker System.

I have read all the threads about the Walker system I could find and did not see any info on the Fiberglass Rods and if they were strong enough to not bow out. Anyone have any problems with that? Overall opinions on which rods I might choose - fiberglass or metal? Any other systems you like better?

I tried looking at the Arakawa system, but their website is horrible and I had trouble even putting together an idea of how their system works and how much it might cost. I got frustrated with too many options and drawings and no packaged solutions and no discernible pricing and I just moved on. Gotta be an freakin engineer to understand their product. :icon9:

No they do not bow out. Why would they?

I have them on my wall hanging 3 moderate pieces per rod and all they do is hang straight down.

Well, given that each piece would hang slightly out from the wall, I was concerned that the fiberglass under weight would not remain straight, but would bow out from the wall. Just confirming that they do pretty good with a few moderate or one large piece hanging from them. Thanks for the reply. :)

I have the AS Classic hanging system from arts-supplies.net. Fantastic product, easy to install. I change the configuration of my shop every couple of weeks, and this system makes it a breeze.
