I'd like to thank everyone who gave me ideas about hanging corner samples.
What I'd like to know now is if anyone owns a VN2+1 underpinner. I am thinking about getting a Pistorius VN-M manual or an AMP VN2+1. They are about the same in price. I have an air compressor so that's not an issue. I've heard that with having a pneumatic VN2+1 you have to be careful not to get moisture in the air hose. It seems that there is a lot of seals also on the VN2+1 where the Pistorius manual doesn't have many. I am open for suggestions or to hear if anyone own a VN2+1 and whether you would suggest me to purchase it over the Pistorius.
Thanks again,
Dan

I have not used a pistorius underpinner, so i shant comment on them directly. I have heard that they are good.

I love AMP, Mitre Mite. They are work horses...if you treat them well they should last for 20 years. You might need to replace a couple minor parts here and there. I will say if you get a bench top model it can be difficult to replace parts. I almost lost a couple fingers replacing a part. I bled for a hour or so...but we made up and she worked for three more years until I left the area. She was not mine, I wish I could have taken my baby with me.

Needless to say they are solid machines. You do have to deal with an air compressor kicking on here and there. On the other hand it makes it easier to join frames, those hard woods can be difficult on the manual pinners.
Good luck with the choice!

Dan,

I have a VN2+1 and quite like it. I am small volume so I haven't really put it thru the ringer, but in about 4 years it's never given me any trouble. Just make sure to keep your fingers clear of the clamps
Good Luck!

Cheers,
LeeAnn
