Here are some locally made rustic frames we offer. The folks that made them were just in and said that 'Valerie in Carson City' just called them because a mutual customer came in to have glass inserted. Anyhow, here are some different examples of the work they do.

We have only had the samples a couple weeks with no takers yet but they are sure one of a kind.

You met Skeeter and Phil Hadley! Nice folks! Your photos there don't do the real things justice, and yes, they're surely one-of-a-kind! In some ways, they're kind of over-the-top and can be distracting ("Wow! Look at that frame! Oh yeah, nice picture too"), but the Wild Mustang photos my photographer customer had them in were absolutely awesome as an entire presentation. He sold out at the Reno Rodeo, sold to the cowboys and other vendors, not just the rodeo-goers.

I'm planning to order a couple of them. I think I like the ones with the more patina'd copper, rather than the shiny stuff.

Anyone else interested, I told them about the Grumble, and promised to tell you guys about them, but Dave has beat me to it!

Check 'em out!

Can't think of a client for them off hand...but I will surely remember those when that person walks through the door. Nice looking little touches sell really well.

Yes, Paul, Skeeter is a woman. Mrs. Skeeter Hadley.

Mark Terrell is the Wild Mustang photographer. He's going to bring in one of the frames with his photo in it next week, I'll post a picture of it here, so you can see the entire thing and how awesome they are with the right art in them.

I met Bill & Skeeter Hadley at the Genoa Candy Dance Arts & Crafts Fair, yesterday. A huge annual event going back many, many years, with over 350 vendors showing their wares to thousands of people who enjoyed a beautiful Fall weekend.

They said "Hi Dave in Idaho!!"

I bought some of these frames, mostly smallish ones, as my shop is square-foot challenged, and they will deliver Tuesday on their way home to Idaho. They do look a bit over-the-top until you see them with art or a mirror in them. The website doesn't do them justice, you have to see them in person to appreciate the textures and depth. They're certainly not for everything, but they did quite well over the weekend, and I'm hoping to find "just the right art" (Mark Terrell's (local) Wild Mustang photos, to start), and will display a couple with mirrors in them. Different, and fun.

Wild Horses of Nevada Photos that will go into some of the frames

Darn, I missed the Candy Dance again! Don't know if I ever mentioned it, but Liz and I were married at that tiny church in Genoa with the reception at the Pink House restaurant and I've always wanted to catch the Candy Dance. Is it always the same weekend each year?

Hey Mikey, I didn't know that! Yes, the Candy Dance is the same weekend for many years....last weekend of September. The Pink House is still there and thriving, as well as anything can "thrive" in Genoa. Unfortunately, another little bakery and a gallery went down this year. But the Candy Dance is growing....maybe out-growing the tiny town that founded it! This one weekend every year will fund most of Genoa's businesses for most of the year. And will take most of the year to recover from! Thousands of folks converge on this quaint little Nevada town for a couple days.

We had our honeymoon weekend at the Yellow Rose Inn, in Genoa, 10 years ago and spent the day after at Wally's Hot Springs. Ooooh...Aaah!

Mark your calendar for next year!
