I am in the market to pick up a vacuum press table and I've gotten the impression there are three main models to choose from; Seal 4468h, Drytac Hot/Cold Press, and the Printmount Hot Shot.

Just based on look alone I like the Printmount Hot Shot. Also being made in the USA is a plus.

Does anyone have any real world experience with these models or can recommend one over the other? Are there any others I am missing?

The Seal is the most widely used but all are very similar. There are many vartiations of all presses since they last for decades. Certain parts wear and need replacement but it is not a big deal to keep them running properly.

I have both a Seal press and a Printmount. The Printmount takes a 40 x 60 but the Seal Press is 51 x 100.

The Printmount is the first press I bought and is almost 30 years old.

The Printmount is built like a tank and is significantly more heavy-duty.

I love our Printmount! Bought it 25 years ago and it still runs great. The only thing that we needed to replace every few years was the springs.

I've used Seal 4468h in 2 or 3 shops. Very dependable machine. I believe it comes in two sizes. I have the 40x60. I find with framing equipment, you get what you pay for, though since this is a very common machine, you can probably find it used just as frequently.
