Vacuum Press Not Sealing - ProSeal 2436H

Recently acquired an old vacuum press and can't get it to seal. The original foam had disintegrated. We replaced it with some bulky weather striping and adjusted the hinges but still cannot get it to pull a vacuum with the lid closed. Visually, it appears as though the foam is still not thick enough to create a seal. Is there a resource for replacement foam?
