I have a Vacuseal 4468H and occasionally the temp goes way up even though the auto setting may be 180. It only does it once in a while, so I check it all the time & live with it. I talked to one person & they said - you probably need a complete digital panel - ouch - lots of money.

Anyone have this problem & get it resolved?
 
I have the VacuSeal 4468H, and have been using it for the last 5 years. Never has this ever happened to us with the temperature. I don't know if your warranty is still in effect, but I would sure be on the phone to the company help line. If ever the temp goes off with a mind of it's own while you have something in there, it could possibly get destroyed.

You may want to replace the Heat Relay. A small part that you can replace yourself. I have done many of them and it helps to regulate the temperature. Call Seal's tech support. They are pretty good at helping you. They may even have a local Tech (usually independant contractores) that they can send to you.
