Hey Folks....
I NEED HELP !!!!!!!........I finally got this press from a lady who closed her shop....I need a Gasket Seal kit for this unit....I have looked everywhere on the internet and made a couple of 1000 phone calls and nothing, zilch, duegots (SP)......Is there an alternative gasket that can be used ? Proper type of glue to install ? Anybody got any clues as where I should go next ? (There is a good straight line for some of you guys !!! ).......I also need a vacuum pump ...what size ? Where can I pick one up at a fair price ?

For the person who helps me figure this out I am offering a Free vacation to Destin Florida...You will be staying with "Framerguy" at his Palatial Estate !!! Don't say anything to Framerguy, I want him to be suprised !!!

Or should I start digging a hole !!!
Thanks,
J. Michael

get the serial#, call seal/bienfang/elmer/etc they might have the item. it wont be 'cheap' (i know, i know...you didnt want to spend very much $$$ as its only a family piece & not a 'real' work of art!) &, from what I have heard from those who have done it--it work be easy to install. You DO realize this thing is long time OBSOLETE, dont you???
I have one, lift assists died---'they' had replacements but I didnt think $150/ea was at all proper, so I grunt & lift & keep my fingers crossed that a MAJOR part doesnt die(only use the heat part @1/mo anyway--just vacuum)

" Where can I pick one up at a fair price ?" you MUST be joking????? the pump on mine was replaced before I got it & label is gone--no joy----tried contacting 'local' pneumatics co.s???(contact seal/bienfang/elmer/etc for capacity etc--they should have the specs)

Thanks Bill....
This press was given to me for helping her sell some of her shop equipment otherwise I would not be messing with it...She said it worked fine other than the Gasket/Seal...Seeing as I do not have room for anything larger and can't afford a new one right now I thought I would attempt to get this relic up and running and hoped I could get some use out of it for a while...

The "Digging a Big Ole Hole" is starting to sound better !!!

I will keep looking around ...maybe I can breathe some life back into it...

Thanks...
J. Michael

If you have not yet found a replacement give Onsite a call (1-866-ONSITE6) They stock older Seal / Bienfang replacement parts.

Sorry I missed this one earlier.
The foam that supports the edge of the bladder is just 1" x 1 1/2" high density synthetic foam rubber strips. It is glued to the inner frame below the bladder, and then to the bladder itself (or vise versa). I've changed mine out a couple of times. Used Acetone to clean off the old adhesive, and contact cement to install the new foam. Check with your local or internet foam supplier about foam that is heat resistant to about 220. They should be able to cut strips for you to use to effect repair if the strips aren't available from the aforementioned source.
