Ok folks...I have a problem. I am the proud possessor of a very old...I'm talking real old...Pistorious manual v-nailer. It works fine, but I now find I can't get 1/4" nails for it. Both United and M&M offer generic nails, but none that will work in my vintage machine. Does anyone have a source for generic nails that will work OR does anyone have a recommendation for a pneumatic machine that you really love. My shop is one of those average volume (200K) businesses so I don't need a nailer that will support commercial volumes...just a good one that will give the user minimum problems.

Thanks...Gene

Thanks Jan, but the loose nails will not work. Pistorious has apparently quit making the nails that fit and, even though they still show the proper ones on the M&M site, they no longer have any.

Awww. Sorry no one has the nails.

Call Blue Ridge Moulding at 800-272-BLUE. They sell an Inmes 3P for less than $1000, I think.

It's a good little machine and I've had mine for about a year and a half.

Just for info for any others that care...I had another talk with United...a very helpful fellow named Joe...and discovered they carry a generic brand of vnails called Taurus that work on the antique manual Pistorious. We've swapped out the unuseable Talons they sent and the Taurus nails work fine. One of my employees was hoping we would have to buy a pneumatic vnailer, but the old one will soldier on another day...month...year.
