Hi all, does anyone have vast experience using polcore? I’ve tried using it with the polcore PC16 adhesive from Mainline Mouldings (UK) then pinning it and i just find that it doesn’t set and that sometimes my joints just break away even after waiting 24 hours+ for the adhesive to take effect. I’ve been using polcore for box framing as the top frame but just don’t know where i’m going wrong.

Also on box framing with polcore, any advice on how to attach the frame to the box. I’ve been using small metal angle brackets for a DIY store and screwing those in but if anyone has any other tips/advice, this would be really appreciated. Thanks and happy Friday to you all!

I haven't used much Poly moulding but when I have I found ordinary PVA as good as anything.

Specialist glues work on the principle of 'welding' the moulding, which they will - up to a point.
But you have to be mega-careful not to get the adhesive on the face of the moulding or it will
take the finish off.

Poly moulding does have it's place in the industry but mainly aimed at applications where shaving
the price down is an issue. Mass-produced frames for instance.
Ironically you need quite an expensive equipment setup to truly reap the benefit.
