Today our slide block broke on our glass/cardboard cutter. Wouldn't you know it. We are going to retire at the end of the year and don't need a new one. Does anyone know where we could get a good used wall glass/cutter--- preferably in the southeast. Needed as quickly as possible.

Why do people get sucked in on thinking they get such good deals on e-bay for used framing equipment. Yes, it is a great deal for the seller but buyers beware. This machine was last made by Fletcher in 1988 so it is AT LEAST 17 years old or older and it just sold for $512 plus shipping of $200 for a total of $712. And outside of the cutting wheels and white bearing tubes no parts are available from Fletcher. A 8400 48" cutter cost a distributor $581 in 1988. It would have sold for about $850 in 1988. The market price for a brand new F-3000 48" is about $1600 so this machine sold for 45% of the market price of a new machine. Most business transactions aim for the win-win situation, this is a good example of a win-lose one.

Just my observations.

Just to clarify your observation --- this cutter was in excellent condition and included $200.00+ worth of blades and glass wheels. Also, there are MANY spare parts available for this machine. Obviously, you have not checked the Fletcher Terry website to see all of the parts that are still available. I do not consider this a "win-lose one".
