Use of <img> tags in posts

Are some people not able to use <img> tags in their posts? I used to be able to link an image, but can't anymore. But I notice that some people do. Am I part of the Grumble lower class?

On this system instead of these brackets<> you need to use these []and then [/]. Or, just click the little icon that looks like a postcard with a stamp.

Plus you need to be in the full Post Reply or Advanced Reply section as opposed to the Kwick Reply to post either an image or a thumbnail - but there is a space limit on the Grumble if you want it to host your thumbnails - so that is why I always host images on my own website (or some people use Photobucket or whatever).

The format is (IMG)http:/www.path.to.com/image.jpg(/img)
note: I used the wrong brackets intentionally, so you could see them. [ and ] are the ones to use....

working example:

with brackets changed to (), to show format:
(img)http://www.getthepictureframing.com/images/mikelogo.gif(/img)
