USB 3 Win 8 question

Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver give a Win8 warning that it is not compatable.
Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver does not have a Win8 version available from Intel.

Does this mean the USB 3 ports work in Win7 but will not work in Win 8?

Does any USB device work as intended when plugged into the "Blue" USB 3 ports or do you need to keep the various devices corralled to their appropriate ports? I'm assuming that the color of the port denotes which version it is.

It seems to suggest that you don't need a driver at all because Win 8 supports it directly. I didn't read the whole thing though.
