The look is different, but profile posts should be working again. I'm not going to add any 3rd party addon at this time.

I hope it goes smooth. Please post issues you encounter in this thread.

Thanks,
Bill

OK last quick test. :icon45: ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ .

Profile post should be working.

No calendar as that was a 3rd party addon. Depending on what happens to theG will determine its fate.

Enjoy

Is the embedding of a banner ad in the last post deliberate?
Site looks great, easier to read too.

The ability to create links in your signature was broken in the oldG and still broke in theNewG. People with working links in the oldG still have them working in theNewG but the rest of us can't create them. There is nowhere in the signature page to add a link. Using the bbcode doesn't work either.

One of the bug-a-boos to work out. I was not liking it; however, I didn't want just that to hold up the restart.

Links in signatures were turned off years ago. Spammers were using them back then.

If you had one you could continue to use it.

Check it out on your phone.
Works better on my phone than the oldG. Resizes automatically to the phone. OldG was not mobile friendly. Lines of text disappeared of to the right. Had to resize screen to tiny text or go landscape to read on the oldG. definitely an improvement.

No signatures at all on phone. Can't remember if we had mobile signatures on oldG.

When I click the home button, right hand lower corner, I get logged out and have to enter my password again.

When logging in make sure to check the box that says "Stay Logged In"

I'm going to disable the last post ad until I can fix it.

Looks good, Bill.

Only thing I am not crazy about is the roundification of everything (avatars). Wreaks havoc with picture frames (or license plates) - ya know? But no worries, I put up with it on Facebook so I can put up with it here. :)

I see the events calendar, but no birthday feature. Is that still available?

It looks like uploaded personal photos now require sizing to fit. Not a problem, but an observation.

It always takes me a while to adjust. Where's the "go to first unread post" button now?

Pretty much the same as before. It'll list the newest ones first and you can click on each one. You can hold CTL button when you click, if you want each one in its own tab, so you don't lose your place.

No, I know where the new posts are but, for instance this thread, when I came back all I could seem to do is go to your reply (the last one posted) and scroll up to where I left off or go to the first post and scroll down. Used to be there was a button that would take you directly to the first post made after you exited the thread. I don't see that now. If a thread is active and you don't look in on it for a while it's nice to be able to be able to go right back to where you left off.

I often check the G on the spur of the moment using my phone. And for that, this new version is vastly better than the old one.
I like some of the new emojis, too.๐Ÿ‘

Still can't edit titles once a post has been made. No spell checking on titles either.

You should be able to edit or delete a post within a 30 time frame. If not let me know. The 1st post maybe different as you should not be able to delete a thread.

This comment was about editing titles, not the post. You can't edit the title at any time, old or new G.

I'm checking out regular members permissions. I was able to edit the title twice using a regular account. I waiting 30 minute to see if it locks down.

I posted a thread, then edit the title, posted a reply then re edited the title. Worked perfect.

There is a 30 minute window to edit.

Spellcheck works from your browser. It is not from the xenForo software or 3rd party addon.

So I was just told.

The only thing I am noticing is that if I put in an emoji in a a private conversation, when I click on preview the emoji goes away.

Thanks for all of your hard work Bill , you are the man...
I just framed 78 pictures going up to Show Low AZ and we are security hanging them next Tues and Weds.
Another 86 pictures the week after for another client besides our regular walk in customers.

We are now doing laser cutting and engraving, large format printing and plexiglass and dibond mounting.
I know about hard work.

My friend Cathy, i-m-chickie, says it all...
