Ok, what am I missing here? Just got a Garmin 1450 w/ lifetime maps & traffic. Went to download the update and it took 3 hours and would not allow me to cancel it! I do have a dsl, but not the fastest dsl.
In the preferences, I set it to update the "device" and not my computer, but the screen said it was downloading to my mac. I never could find the stupid thing.
When it finished, it then said to download to the "device", which I clicked on the button to do. Almost immediately, I got a reply window that there is not enough memory in the Garmin to download the maps!!!
Of course, there is already a crapload of stuff they have preloaded, mostly a miliion foreign languages.
So how do I update this thing? What did I do wrong?
