Question - I have a C&H Advantage Pro mat cutter and I am thinking about buying the Logan 706 Universal V-Groover. Has anyone bought and used this tool? If so, what was the cost and did it indeed do what it was suppose to do? And does it work with the Advantage Pro as advertised. I would appreciate any comments including any suggestions for an alternative.

I have a C&H Advantage Pro mat cutter and the Logan 706 Universal V-Groover. I use them both daily and get good looking results. I bought the v-groover from United a couple of years ago. I don't remember how much it cost but it is in the catalog if you look for it there. It was not real high, maybe 60 to 80 bucks. It is a real time saver.

Your mileage may vary.

I bought one a few years ago. It's good for single and double v-grooves, but I still maintain that learning proper v-groove techniques will get you farther and give you more versatility. Check out my articles in Picture Framing Magazine...they have an easy-to-follow methodology for surface V-Grooving. Who knows, you might even have some fun trying the designs in the articles and make a few bucks to boot
