Welcome to the Grumble, United! This should be a great way to reach potential customers. Thanks for supporting the Grumble.

I was impressed with United's response to earlier threads - now I'm REALLY impressed. Kit

So, does this mean we should send our greeting cards to United now?

I'm a regular United customer, and happy to see them here. By the way, United offers the best deal on *real* Dupont Mylar-D, our favorite clear film. They also have the 3M #889 tape with which to stick it.

Thanks United! Good job on the un-obtrusive ad framer.

I think the cards to framer would be appropriate for all the work he does to keep this going even with a sponsor.

Hi Framer,
You've done a good job in running and growing this site for three years now and it's just natural to capitalize on it. Hope you could strike a rewarding sponsorship deal with UMS. Congratulations!

Thanks to United.

Will get an EXTRA LARGE order together Monday.

---Mike

Yeah, but...which should be a run-on word by itself, ala "yeowbutt"...what happened to the Grumble-Moderated-By-framer? We shouldn't lose framer to the banner, should we, no matter how grateful we are to United? Like....who was here first?

Hate it when I get into ValleyGirl: we just got back from California, to where I would retire in jig time were it possible right now[b/].

Why didn't the emboldening thingie work?

Nothing going to change, I'm still running the show. If anybody really runs this show.

I like to add my Thanks to United and the people who run it.I appreciated their direct input before but I am even more appreciative to see what cooperation between suppliers and ALL framers can acomplish, when the supplier really tries to help. Maybe some other suppliers should take note and maybe they could learn how it helps them as well.

Welcome United! Having worked plugging Masterclamp with these guys, I can tell you that they'll bend over backwards to get you what you need, and they're nice guys too!

Hey---Boggy. Good to see your name pop up again. Have missed your postings lately. Hope the employment scene has improved for you. Post a new thread and let us know what is up with you. Also, we'd love to see more of your beautiful v-groove work. Any tips on the technique? I remember Brian Wolf showing the top-cut groove once, but that was for straight rectangles keeping the mat guide setting the same, etc. Can't figure out how you do all those spectacular angle grooves.
Welcome back, and do tell.
;) Rick

P.S.: Apropos of this thread, I must admit I was a bit taken aback to see an ad banner on the Grumble, but at least it's a longtime trusted supplier. By the way, I heard a commentary on NPR this week mentioning that- of all things- Mad Magazine is now running ads! Is nothing sacred?

As far as we are concerned, the show goes on with Framer as its conductor. The site was growing and doing better by the day. Our growing community and purchasing power is what finally attracted the sponsorship not the other way around. Let's give credit to where it belongs and not mistaken United for another grumbler on board.
