I've designed a piece where I'm stacking a small square profile on top of the lip of the outside frame. The piece is long and narrow horizontally (appx. 36 x 16). Any suggestions on how to safely and securly attach them to one another?

Welcome krispy!

Jerry's right and his suggestions sound good.

Each situation commands a different approach. It's something I love about framing and going outside the design "box". Each day presents fresh challenges.

Many people do crossword puzzles to stay sharp, but being a custom framer is puzzling enough each day to keep us on our toes!

Fletcher Multimaster & multi points. They are a two-pronged point with a hole for a screw in between. It's alot quicker than offsets.

Fletcher framer's points and staples are quicker still but not as neat - but I'd tape over either method anyway.
