I'm trying to locate a specific moulding for a customer and the distributor that I get it from is out until the end of January. The moulding number from G and G Moulding is E 23-CB and it's about 1 1/2" wide. If anyone knows of another company that sells this moulding please let me know, this customer needs it to complete a art piece for her show that's in about 3 weeks. Thanks!!

It looks similar to a couple by Studio moulding, but I'm wondering if G & G
would be willing to give you contact info. for whoever last bought it in a
quantity of length. Perhaps that customer would be willing to sell some.

Thanks Shayla for the response. I already called them and asked but they wouldn't divulge that info, so I asked who made it and all they would tell me is that it comes from Malaysia. I know I've seen it with another distributor but I can't remember who it was.

Thank you MnSue the 850-30 is it!!! Now just to find one of my distributors who carries International Moulding!!

Shenandoah Framing carries it so I'm in luck!! Different number but one I will put on the back of the sample for future reference!! Thanks again for the help!!

Karen, we buy our IM moulding all from G&G. We order it based on the IM number, but I'm sure they have their own numbering system. That also means that if G&G is out of it, chances are that's because IM might be out of it. We also special order IM via G&G for mouldings that they don't stock too... so I'm unsure why they won't sell it to you unless its not available from IM at all.

Thanks cjmst3k for the reply, I have been with G & G for 13 years, they are a great company but like all distributors they change their numbers and are reluctant to give out information that could cost them a sale, I understand this completely and I'm not upset with them at all. I'm sure that IM is waiting on a shipment and then G & G has to wait but I knew someone else sold it too. My sample only had G & G's number on it so I wasn't sure it was a IM number but I thought it was and I had searched IM's website and just couldn't find it. Normally I could wait until IM got it in and then on to G & G but this time I couldn't wait and I knew that I had seen it with another distributor before but couldn't remember which one. Once MnSue gave me the IM numbers to check out and I found it I remembered who else carried it, I am so thankful that she was able to give it to me, I now have a very thrilled customer!! I just knew if I posted here on the Grumble that someone would be able to help me out, that is what is so great about this place!!

It also looks a lot like Michelangelo's 165-21 profile, just in case you need another source sometime.

G & G uses the Int'l numbers with the IM prefix on them. Call and ask using the Int'l number and they may have it but I can't remember if they took that one on as stock item.

Thanks everyone you guys are great!! Twin2, I'll definitely check out that number, always good to have another source. Jeff, most of my IM mouldings from G & G are labeled that way but this one has one of their own labels on it, but it's definitely a IM moulding. When I called them they didn't want to give out much information no matter how many questions I asked or how I worded the questions but I did ask. I didn't get upset about it, I don't sweat the small stuff I knew you guys would come to the rescue!! MnSue, it's weird that IM has that much in stock, maybe G & G is trying to dwindle down their inventory until after the first of the year to keep from having to pay taxes on it, I know that I do that too.

I can see protecting your resources, but it is lousy customer service. Glad you were able to get what you needed despite the stonewalling.
