My customer was a pitching coach for the Indians. The patch is from one of his jackets.

Hand turned leather frame with artique mats, V-Groove and Chief Wahoo cut out.

Dave,

I love those frames! None of the manufactured leather even comes close. Great work! Now I have to figure out how to do that.

Brain Picking Time .........

Great work, Dave!

That leather must be thinner than glove leather to pick up all the detail of the fillet profile! I am puzzled by the lacing, do you actually lace the corners or are you braiding that lacing and gluing it on after the join??

(I won't tell anyone, ................ honest!!) :p

Hey thanks Paul, I don't know how I missed that thread?? I usually do read every thread that applies to how to do stuff as that is part of my being here and trying to learn new techniques.

I'll leave the religious and political threads to those who are skilled in those arenas from now on. My one attempt was a dismal failure which only goes to prove that I .................. uh, well, that is another whole thread.

Thanks everyone. :icon21:

Tom the leather on this one is 2.5-3 oz prefinished upholstery leather (still a lot thicker then glove leather). This is the first one that I have done with prefinished leather. The total time start to finish on this one was 150 minutes including 30 minutes for the contact cement to dry and working with a client.

This thinner leather wraps nice and easy compared to the thicker 3-4 oz vegetable tanned natural leather.
