If you could only attend one trade show this year, which one would you attend?

I really don't have time to attend any but am going to make time for at least one. Which one offers the most educational benefits and is close to NC. I would like to take as many classes as possible.

Thanks!

I tend to like Atlanta. I am going to Baltimore and am hopeful that this will become a good show in time. I have been to Atlanta on two occassions, not in the last two years(?). I find it to be very informative and of course there is the Grumble dinner. You are in the middle of both...so it is a toss up. If this is your first year to go I would say do Atlanta in September. Maybe next year do Baltimore. Then go all out and do Vegas or the PMA show in FL.

Good Luck, being your first show I think any and all will be a good help to you. No matter how small or large, new or old, there is always more to see and tons to learn.

Well, you've already missed the best framing-education show, WCAF. That was in January in Las Vegas. You're going to miss the second-best education show, too; PPFA next week, also in Las Vegas.

Baltimore is a new show and will have just a little education. I guess I'd suggest waiting until Atlanta, where you will find several good classes. It's closer to you, too. Or you could wait until next January; save your lunch money and go to WCAF. For most of us, it's a less-costly show than Atlanta, anyway -- but you're closer than most of us to Atlanta.

Unless you are planning to drive to Atlanta... I wouldn't.

Next year both WCAF and PPFA will be in Vegas. Vegas has cheaper hotel space than Atlanta. [Not my opinion, but Expedia and Orbit's opinions]

Education: Both have the best education and you have to understand where you are at and what your needs are. Get copies of both of this years courses and see which one offers the most of what you need.

A generalization of the two is WCAF is upper class college, and PPFA is more of the Community College. Both have "PhD"s and both have teachers.
If you're looking more to your backroom, PPFA.

Both will serve you well.

IF you are also looking for Vendors.... you will never beat WCAF. Sad to say, but I have spoken to a few vendors that will not be returning to Atlanta.:help:

Baer, does this WCAF "upper class college" moniker mean I might actually finish college, after 38 years of hit and miss semesters? Feels great! Does the sheepskin come pre-framed?

Ditto on what was said above. Atlanta was okay, Philadelphia (may she rest in peace) was okay, but at WCAF I took the best classes yet. Well worth saving your nickels for...
