Too Many Awards

I have a customer that every year wins 6-12 awards for the product they make at the show. They have a small shop and are running out of room for displaying these awards that they have framed every year.

Any idea how they could continue to frame them and put them up? Job is worth about $800 every year for me.

Problem is can't replicate them smaller because the foil does not copy well.

Thinking maybe could overlap them but that still makes for big frames. The only thing I can think of is make A4 frames as ready mades and they can swap them out each year. Only problem with that is eventually the work dries up cause the wall is full. Maybe get the wall full with ready mades the way they want and then have a small charge for swapping them each year? Maybe they could have a digital slideshow or a display book of all the certificates they have removed from display.

Any Ideas how they can display these certificates and keep adding to the display? Impossible in my opinion cause at some point have to take the old ones down.

Buy a bigger shop?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I have customers running out of wall space. I always tell them to buy a bigger house.

Could you hinge two or three frames together so they would hang on the wall but could be opened like a book?

Clive.

I can see entire walls covered completely by rows of frames displayed edge-to-edge, held in place by rails. This would also eliminate the need for them to ever repaint or repaper the walls.
 Rick

Are they limited to displaying them on the walls only?

Perhaps something like a 3 sided moulding sample tower that could be placed in the room and used to display several awards on each side, it would also spin.

If there is no other room, I would suggest to the customer that most people [assuming some customers come to their place] are more interested in more current awards, and he/she should replace some of the older awards on the wall with new ones so his/her customers know they are still on the top of their game.

Many times I have gone into a restaurant or doctor's office and seen awards from several years ago, but no current ones. I wonder if their quality has gone down hill. I really don't care if they won an award 5 years ago...how is their quality now.

Thick acrylic floors. You can display the framed ones under it.
