Hello from a longtime lurker but infrequent poster.
Went to the NY show and was quite interested in the speed-mat (non-pneumatic). I have very little table space, and believe it or not, have been running with a small fletcher matcutter for years. The wall-mounted aspect was interesting to me, since that's all the room I have, and no place for computerized.

I cut about 20 per day.

Anyone out there have any experience with this? I was particularly concerned with the adjustments for 2nd mats, as they only specify 1/8, 1/4, 3/8. Is there a way to do 3/16, 5/16 another way on this machine? Let me know what you think. Thanks!!

jaybee, you should be able to do any and of those reveals on the Speed-Mat. The unit comes with these little knob thingies (I know, technical jargon :)) that will do standard reveals depending on where on the dial you set them. However, both the horizontal and the vertical bars have detailed rules down to 1/16". You'll have to manually set them for the size reveal you want if looking for anything involving a sixteenth of an inch, but really not a biggie. I actually took the knobs off my stops for everything but doing v-grooves. I just found it easier to work that way. But you'll find that it will work the same way with them on.

Speed-Mat is a great machine. Good luck with it!
