We’ll examine technique and basic design in an effort to leave you with the ability to operate the machine of your choice and cut a double mat effortlessly and perfectly every time. Jeanne Robertson
Humor: More Than a Laughing Matter
Jeanne Robertson reached her 6’2” stature at age thirteen. She made the University of North Carolina basketball team—averaging more than thirty points per game in her junior and senior years—but as Miss North Carolina 1963 she also competed in the Miss America Pageant where she was named Miss Congeniality.
It was her participation in and perhaps even her losing of the Miss America title that turned Ms. Robertson’s life into a succession of events which led her to be one of the funniest, busiest and most popular professional speakers in America today. Because she was asked to speak every day as Miss North Carolina, Ms. Robertson traveled her native state for one year speaking at pageants and addressing civic clubs and corporations. They wanted not just a title holder- they wanted her because she made them laugh.

F62 Buying and Selling a Frame Shop
Today, one of the more commonly used ways to grow a business is by acquisition. It’s popular, because growth is fast and it seems so easy. But before you call your investment banker, ponder this startling statistic: Just 23% of acquisitions earn their cost of capital according to a study of deals made by 116 companies over an 11 year period. No, avoiding acquisition opportunities is not the answer, but some preparation to increase your odds for success would be smart. In this session, we’ll review the different ways to place a value on the business. You’ll learn the do’s and don’ts of completing the deal. We’ll discuss the five most common mistakes that turn an acquisition into disaster. And, you’ll have a chance to ask questions of an acquisition veteran who has, over time, made and learned from mistakes.
