A nice LCD for a nice price.

But the funny thing on this link, those computers that are being sold for the Fletcher, Wizard, etc CMC machines. As if each CMC should use a different PC!

And, there are 2 PCs which are perfectly identical, but one is priced at $1200 (Fletcher F-6100 Computer) and the other goes for $1000 (MatWRITER Computer). I wonder why....

One includes some kind of special "interface board" plus Windows XP.

Rick, you are correct. The PC for the Fletcher includes an interface board for adapting the motion controller of the 6100 to the PC bus the and different CMC's do require different operating systems.

I have sold around 10 LG LCDs over the last year or so.
I am also currently sitting in front of one of their higher end 17in that I selected for my personal computer.
I have never been dissapointed with them! Awesome monitors and I have had the opertunity to compare them to almost every manufacture out there.

LG/Goldstar (yes, the former Kmart low end brand) has come a long way. Recently they're getting directly into the high end appliances market as well (Washing machines, Refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, etc) instead of manufacturing for other companies. Best Buy and Home Depot are distributing them. They also do big screen tv's. They're introducing cutting edge innovation to the market, and some other companies are having a difficult time keeping up.

Dell Ultrasharp, Samsung, and ViewSonic monitors are also nice, and top the review lists.

I'm just guessing here, but I know that electronics and appliance mfrs. notoriously have multiple model nos. for identical products, to get around issues of price matching etc. Could be something like that. Or maybe they have different color cases?
 Rick
(Or maybe one comes from a warehouse in Texas, and one from Buffalo,NY)

As for the TX vs BF
from previous dealings with LG it is either a trim color difference (aka silver vs black on base / frame) or the buttons are in a slightly different configuration. Likely buttons or even a different box design. Ordered 5 17in ones the other day and got 2 different box designs. Product was the same. I would not worry about it.
