Culver, a Columbus distributor, hosted an open house, and Jim Miller spoke about shadowboxes. It was nice to see our Crescent, Nielsen-Bainbridge, and True Vue reps there, too.

The food was great. :D And Jim has so many good ideas. I'm all psyched and want to design shadowboxes, and that's saying something. ;) I've gotten so many good tips from Jim over the years via The Grumble and articles he has written for framing magazines. He's a born inventor and educator.

It was fun to hang around with Rick. We visited Anderson's FrameDesign in Powell, OH. Thanks Matt. What an awesome shop.

Jan, you beat me to it. I second everything you just said. Any time you get a chance to attend one of Jim's sessions, DO IT. His presentation is both informative and entertaining. (Think of your favorite science and art teachers rolled into one.)

Thanks again to Culver, to the sponsors, and to Jim!

I also agree with both of you. Culver's Open house wast the first time I have attended an event where I could talk with reps and hear some really good advice.
I have been framing for over 7 years now, but have owned my business for under a year. Jim was a wonderful speaker, and really informative. I have done many shadowboxes, but he brought new ideas that I had never pictured before! I to am anxious to start using some of his creative ideas!
Also, he told us about the Grumble during his talk... and I am so glad he did. I like being able to access so much information and wisdom from other framers!
I thank everyone for the wonderful ideas and help!
Thanks Culver, Crescent, Tru Vue, and Nielsen-Bainbridge for all of your help. And Thanks to Jim for the wonderful advice!
