Does anyone know what is going on with Thanhardt Burger? We have dealt with them for years without a problem and have always liked working with them.

Suddenly frames are being discontinued without warning(custom corner frames - which is very unusual). They say that they are not cost effective for them to make. Yet, if we supply them with the raw moulding they will make the frame for us. The whole thing doesn't make sense because the raw moulding is all of $1.05 a foot. When we ask for a list they can't send us one. They say that the salesman will come "one of these days" and pull them off.

There seems to be a lot of in-house tension which is strange because they are an old established company.

I hope everything is o.k. there businesswise and personal as well. This lack of concern and caring seems so unusual for them. Something doesn't "feel" right and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this.

I'm sure Larson-Juhl will buy them out and trash whatever line is left.

Nah, I don't think LJ will buy them. They do finished corner frames. But who knows?

It is such a shame to work hard on selling a frame and then having to tell the customer that it is not available. We made a $2,000+ sale and surprise - frame is no longer available. Mind you, we just received this very same frame a couple of weeks ago for a different customer.

At this point we are buying the raw moulding and they will finish it for us. Seems very strange to me. I wish I knew what was going on and if we should pull all the frame samples off (we would rather not if we don't have to).
