How do you go about researching taking over a lease on a Valani CMC? 2/3 years old in the same town as I am. I have no idea where to start on this. That is also all the details I have. It was mentioned to me and I don't have a CMC and I am curious. It has been the only one in town and now might be the time for me to look into one. thanks for any help

Find out who the leasing company is ...you might be able to re-negotiate on the lease instead of just assuming it too.

Be aware that there are primarily two types of leases on equipment.

Operating leases and capitol leases.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

If you are unable to renegotiate the lease you might consider having the current owner maintain the lease (especially if it is on favorable terms) and assign a present value to the amount owed and pay them outright. Be sure to have an attorney and possibly your cpa review the transaction if you go this route.

The leasing company may very well be willing to calculate a fair buyout too.
