I just cut a 13x15 frame of LJ 551732 - Ashland Mahagony with a Reverse Bead.

This is one HARD moulding! The wood is tough!

I took single step bites, and ended up standing with both feet on the pedal and jumping up and down two or three times to get it to go through! I weight about 170lbs.

If all mouldings were this hard, I would not need to work out!

Some enterprising framer should create a Framers Exercise video using this stuff! :)

My physical therapist once asked me if I work out, because my legs and arms were pretty strong "for a girl". I said not at the gym, but at my shop!! Chopping and working the vises and lifting boxes of glass and matbd and moving around bundles of moulding, and turning over big frames with mats and glass....yeah, we do get a pretty good workout, don't we?

I love the Framer's Exercise Video idea!

I'll say again - I love LJ's Join program! (Especially because of these "difficult" mouldings.) With the Ashland line you have to be able to make perfect chops and have a heavy duty underpinner.
