This is some framing I did for my recently completed piece "On Silent Wings".
My Husband fell in love with this image from the moment I sketched it out and asked to keep it and have it framed so he could look at it everyday.
This is the last picture of mine I will frame as a "pro". However, I will always frame for myself from home.
Nothing fancy, just a stacked frame, museum glass and spacers. I have been framing more of my pieces without matting lately. The image is just over 27 inches square.
I am at home so I don't have the moulding numbers but the outside moulding is a wide Studio black bevel with a large rounded metallic pewter lip. The inner frame is a LJ cherry colored veneer. I thought the cherry brought out the straps in the painting and the pewter speckled lip accented the surface she is laying on.
Like I say, nothing fancy...but it is my style...
(Sorry about the flash hotspot!
