"Super Softstrand" picture wire

We currently use "Softstrand" wire (with which we are pleased) and were wondering about "Super Softstand"...

S.S. has a clear plastic coating. Has anyone experienced a drying out, or yellowing of the plastic coating, over time?

Any other problems or recommendations regarding wire?

I use the SS and since I've been using it, have not noticed any illnesses. I buy several rolls at once and the first on works like the last.

I used the "Super Softstand" exclusively until I switched over to Wall Buddies. I have seen no yellowing. I believe the wire will last longer than uncoated metal wire.

If nothing else, it is alot easier on the hands to work with the SS wire. I love it.

Maybe what Pete was trying to say is - Tuflon is just as nice but little cheaper. I went back and checked my rolls, and it is Tuflon. I made the switch when United did.
