Nothing fancy here, I just like the name "Super Croc". These where a series of 17 prehistoric illustrations a college is using in one of their hallways. They will have a mural painter come in and paint a tree "branch" history thingy on the wall between the frames, that's why they are staggered at different heights. One was titled, "Dawn at the Rookery" I keep singing that like it was the chorus to a heavy metal song. The illustrations come from famous natural history illustrators or from museums around the globe. They bought the digital files and thier photo department printed them.

The frames are from TC Moulding/International Moulding #895-10, it has a nice fossily texture and is the right price when you are doing 17 of them. The mat is C9859, they also painted the walls to match the mat. Conservation glass of course. Also TC Moulding deserves some extra kudos for supplying me with additional moulding at the last minute!!!

OOHH Neat! Did you see the documentary about "Super Croc" on Nat Geo? A sculptor made a life sized clay sculpt of the thing.....HUGE! L.....BTW,From the title,I almost thought you shadowboxed one of Baer`s shoes.:icon19:

Who is Robert?

(back to the thread)

I hope the artist hired to paint the wall is permitted to remove the frames before doing the painting......

Want to see photos after the whole thing is complete!
