Just wanted to take minute and thank Studio for being a friend to the Independent Framer.

Good products, more than fair pricing, and reasonable shipping fees.

We have been very happy with them and their products, particularly the distressed woods. Real olive-wood looking veneers, with a real no-gesso base.

A lot of companies try to knock off their 361 & 369 lines and just can't come close.
They have excellent quality control.

Ditto for their 353 line. That group is one of my favs. The 369 and 361 lines are also good sellers for me along with many of their Matte Blacks.

Studio is a great moulding supplier for me. Great value for the price. And a great rep (Keith).

And when I have a larger job and need a price point, they are willing to work with me, if they can. For example, I had a 9 frame job and I had a specific price point to meet. The customer preferred the Studio Moulding, but was willing to go with brand Y, because of price. I called Keith, and asked "What do I need to do to get x.xx / ft for yy feet." He came up with a solution, and I had the moulding within 3 days.

Really?

I took their samples down at XMas time. I had ordered 40814 and it came in nothing at all like the sample. Not even close! Supposed to be a gorgeous silver and it was nothing like it. I called and complained, and they offered to send a call tag. Said that they just got a container in and that what I got was what they were selling as 40814. The call tag still hasn't arrived, neither has my credit.

I kept my mouth shut here as I used to sing their praises, I love their molding too, but right now I am very reluctant to pull any of their samples out to show people. And when I do sell one of their moldings I make sure to go to their website and verify that the sample matches with what they are selling. They were my bread and butter, go to frames and now I am VERY reluctant to even show their samples.

I loved them, sung their praises, but the customer service is rock bottom and they IMO lied to me about sending a call tag or a credit for the moulding I bought. I do still buy from them, no where near what I used to do, and verify that the product being shipped is what I am showing my customers. What used to be a high quality easy to rely on product is now a cause for anxiety for me when I show it.

My old rep, Marcia, moved on years ago, and is now with Bainbridge/Nurre. I wish she was still with them, I'd feel better about the company if she was.

I am very curious about the name of the lines that are trying to be copied. I can't find anything searching 361 or 369 or 353. I know they have a knock-off of a roma frame, which aside from being on denser wood in a smaller size, it got the look down correctly. I'm curious what someone copied THEM on. :)

Here are their catalog pages of the 361, 353 and 369 lines along with a couple of others on the same pages. In addition to the 369 line they have a number of other mouldings with the same form factor in the 269** line (26901, 26951, etc)
