Opinions Wanted Stretching large, old, oil painting, rolled for 50 years

Customer brought in large, old (1955) original oil painting on unstretched canvas. It had been rolled for many years and has creases throughout painting. Artist is Paul Paree from California. It had been stretched at one point. It could be valuable. HELP!
 
Let the customer know that it tooki decades to get in the current condition and it may take several months to undo what has been done.

You can take it to a conservator or if you have space give it a home where it will not be disturbed for possibly several months and allow it to relax slowly.
 
I think this is one for a conservator. I would not try to unroll it yourself. As it unrolls you might have paint loss.
