A customer came in with a 44x60 inch canvas to be gallery wrapped on 1.5" bars. The problem is there is only 2" of canvas border. I explained the situation to him and then he decided to go with a 3/4" - 1" stretcher bar. Didn't really want the smaller, he is "used to" seeing it on 1.5", he had them done in the past where he lived before moving here. Is there any way to do what he is looking for? Is there a company I can send this to so they can do it for me?

Shipping will kill you getting it back.

Check the commercial posts section for Jack Richeson Best and call them. They make what you need and can talk you through it.

When I have done gallery wraps, the image wraps around the edges. I am assuming that the 2" boarder you described is unfinished. I could hand wrap that on our standard 1 3/8 gallery wrap bars, but couldn't use my stretching machine without first adding more fabric to the tack edge.

You should have no problem with 1-1/2" bars if you stripline the edges with 8xx polyester. Use BEVA 371 film as an adhesive.
