Storing mountboards

Has anyone got an effective method of storing mountboards ( mats ) in sheet size ? (ie packs of)
I've seen workbenches with vertical wire racking underneath, but they don't hold too many and do not allow small ( part ) sheets to be stored without them falling out.
At present I am using ex-printing film cardboard boxes stored vertically, which also protect matboards from damage and rub marks. But my supply of these boxes is limited.
Any good ideas out there?

Take a look at Taming the Matboard Monster - Part 1 of 3 and substitute "mountboard" for "matboard." See if that idea might help.

Don't hunt for parts 2 and 3 just yet, though. They are still in the thinking stage.

Ron's system works great. I got my shelving unit at Home Depot. Think I paid about $39.00.
