I love this project, a client brought me several items from her Father's vintage Stingray, 2 logos, the center of the steering wheel and the knob of the stick shift. We picked out Larson's Gramercy Black and fillet, mat is metallic C5598 and C9895 with spacers and Museum glass.

Her Father loved this car and sadly he was killed in it. I hope she likes it.

WOW!!!!!! At first glance of the title I thought it would
be the fish..........;)

Glad to see you FINALLY got it done!
Looks AWESOME! ;)

Great design and great execution...what's not to like? It looks like a labor of love.

she's a beauty

Oh Mark, that was just BAADDDDD!!!!!!!!!

Nice frame job - but you say the danged car killed him and she wants the pieces framed? Kinda ghoulish, doncha think? Egad.

She had the pieces floating around in a drawer for years, she came in and saw one of my framed displays from Larson Juhl, the Vietnam medal display and it gave her the idea to frame the car parts.

As I recall he was killed in the car some time ago, her Father had the car since it was new (1970's?), so that is how she remembers him, not from the accident.

Thanks for showing us, Randy. It's
such a well done design. Your choice
to let the letters extend out over the
mats is just great, and it reminds
me to think outside the box when
designing. I tend to get a bit too
conventional.

That is one good looking framing job....makes me want to go to a wrecker and see what trinkets I can pick up to create a cool display piece.

Well done!!

Mark: All I can think of is that episode of South Park where Satan's throwing a costume party and Steve Irwin walks in and Satan tells him "Too soon...!" and Steve says, "But I'm Steve Irwin!" and then Satan says "You're not in costume! Get out!" but then I digress. Okay, so I groaned first. :P

Randy: That is amazing -- very inspiring! It's wonderful that she keeps the memory of how he lived, and not how he died. Gorgeous work! :D
